Behind the Scenes Week 4

Tree planting will be ongoing at Half Moon Farm until we cark it or decide to sell up. We’re using a hessian tree guard for the first time on this muttonwood, so it’ll be interesting to see how it performs.

A bare rooted nectarine ‘Goldmine’ that should have been planted a few weeks ago while still dormant. Better late than never, though–experience tells me that this tree will settle in fine. I’m planning to espalier it using a fan training technique.
